Tendonitis in knees.?!

Question:

Tendonitis in knees.?

How can i help the tendonitis in my knees. It is right at the top of the kneecap where it connects to the quad muscle. It has been hurting my for months and i need to heal it fast bc i still have to train for football this year.

Answers:

It doesn't sound like a tendonitis to me. Consider patello-femoral syndrome or chondromalacia patella. It can be caused by direct trauma to the patellofemoral joint. You should see a sports medicine specialist or an orthopedist to confirm this. In the meantime, try icing it for 15 mins. at a time, stretching exercises to bend your knee to the fullest and los-resistance stationary biking. Avoid stressing your knee betwee the range of 30 degrees to 90 degrees. I hope all goes well for you.
