Lower abdominal pain?

Hi, i am having very sharp pains on the lower left side of my body. It is all around my hip bone, but it is not the bone. it hurts to walk, or stand, or cough. I didn't know if it were my period or not because i am one of thoes people that never get cramps. I do suffer from colitus, but this pain is different. please help.

its on my LEFT hip bone (so its not my appendix)

go to the doctor... you might have appendicitis
go to your regular doctor first because you might not have it and then they could check out any other possibilities
