How many years does bulimia from age 17 continuously on into adulthood cut off one's lifespan?
Say it's a pretty bad case of it too. What would you say? Constantly bingeing and purging but a healthy weight...not overweight. How is the behavior going to affect my lifespan should I not get a hold of it (I am getting help by the way...)

You never hear of elderly women having bulimia in the nursing homes. Is it true bulimics just don't live very long?

you are getting help, good for you! i am also a recovering bulimic. bulimia makes you lose electrolytes which in turn affects your heart, so heart disease can occur. not sure in numbers how many years though. but like i said, congratulations, you are on your way to recovery. if you need somebody outside of your social circle to talk to, you can email me. keep at it girl!
