Question:
When I take opiates for pain, they keep me awake at night. What can I do to counter this effect?
When I take vicadin, fentanyl, oxycodone, morphine or any of the opiates for my back pain, they keep me awake at night. Can I take a drug or combine something with a drug to counter this effect?
Answers:
You will find that all nearly all of the pain killing medicines can cause some insomnia. You can take something like Ambien or Lunesta or something like that before going to bed and you will get some sleep. Ask your Dr. before taking any of these in combination, though.
