Relief for a stiff neck?!

Question: Relief for a stiff neck?
Well, I kind of got a bit carried away with "whipping my hair" at dance this morning and the back of my neck is already aching... It's like, aches at the back when I turn my head and when I touch it it feels tender. If it's like this now, I dread to think what it will be like tomorrow... Is there anything I can do to help prevent it from getting more painful or to make it less painful now? Thankyou.

Answers:

You tightened up muscles in your neck to get them to stiffen up like that. To get rid of the pain you have to free up your neck muscles and here's how to free them up:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about one minute, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
