OMG I have bad foot pain mostly in my heels.?!

Question:

OMG I have bad foot pain mostly in my heels.?

THIS STARTED ALMOST 7MONTHS AGO. WHEN I WAS A HIGHLIFT DRIVER IN A COLD FOOD WEARHOUSE AND WORK 11 HOUR DAYS I'AM THINKING IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO W/ THE COLD AND STEPING UP AND DOWN OFF THE EQUIPMENT. SO I CHANGED DETPARTMENTS NOW I ONLY WORK 8 HOUR DAYS AND IT'S ALL WALKING OR STANDING. FEW PEOPLE TOLD ME MAYBE I BRUISED THE BOTTOM OF MY FEET AND TO TAKE ALIEVE. THIS DOSE HELP. BUT AFTER 7 MONTHS I'AM REALLY GETTING TIRED OF IT. SOMEDAYS ARE'NT BAD SOMEDAYS I COULD CRY. THE PAIN IS IN MY HEELS AND HURTS THE MOST WHEN JUST STANDING OR AFTER SITTING DOWN FOR FEW MINS AND I GET UP, I ALMOST CAN'T WALK. FEW OTHER PEOPLE SAID MAYBE IT'S PLANTAR FASCITIS OR METATARSALGIA ANYONE NO WHAT THAT IS? CAN IT BE TREATED AT HOME? I NO I NEED TO GO TO DR. BUT MY INSURANCE SUCKS. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME. THANKS

Answers:

I have heel spurs and plantar fasciitis, and that's exactly what it feels like. My podiatrist had me take ibuprofen for the inflammation, ice my feet for 15 minutes at a time every hour or two during the evening (frozen peas work great for this), and do stretching exercises.

Buy a yoga strap or a long belt. Put the belft under the ball of your feet and stretch the toes backward until you feel the stretch and it almost hurts and hold it for 30 seconds. Relax and repeat again 10 times. Repeat for the other foot.

I didn't need surgery after doing this. Also get some really good insoles for your shoes. I have custom orthotics, but I find Dr. Scholl's gel insoles more comfortable. Plenty of arch support is also important.

Good luck. I know how painful this is for you.
