Answers:

Any acute injury like this needs attention if it is as painful as you indicate. Further, if it doesn't feel completely pain free within 7-10 days you need to seek medical attention.

I would recommend a chiropractor or a physio (medical), even an osteopath. You will want an Xray of the area of pain and concern before any exercise, stretching or manipulation is performed. This will allow them to assess whether there is a significant structural problem that may need some less or more invasive care.

Not very likely you severely injured your back with what you describe, but there could be a subluxation, and/or soft tissue inflammation and radicular pain associated.

Massage shouldn't hurt as the other poster mentioned, but again if this isn't significantly better within about 10 days you don't need to just let it go on. Acute injuries turn into chronic hard to manage conditions simply by people not getting the care shortly after it occurred.

You don't want a problematic situation with your back for the rest of your life, so if your body can't fix it the way things are.. get proper medical help.

Your regular doctor will likely take an xray (and may not).. and will be unable to manipulate or 'fix' anything.. as this is not taught in medical school. You then may or may not be referred to a specialist of some kind. (And of course given muscle relaxers and occasionally some pain medication).

While it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a GP/PCP have a look at it, make sure they take at least one xray and then if their advice/results aren't satisfactory ask for a copy (or the xray itself) of the xray for your personal records. So you can then take this image to a chiropractor, osteopath, or whomever you decide to see to, perhaps, reduce your cost with them.

Good luck,

all you have to do is to massage where's the pain is. try putting some oil on it.

You'd better go to see a doctor
