Nerve or muscular??!

Question:

Nerve or muscular??

I have been to the docs (variety of them),I had cat scans and nothing shows up, which is a good thing too. I have a muscle that spasms above my ear on my head, according to the dentist it is a muscle spasm from tmj. I wore one of them top teeth mouth guards but it only made me worse so i stopped using it. My right ear always feels clogged and it feels as if i have a pinched nerve on that side of my neck. I feel i need to push behind my ear and push up around my neck to get some relief. Is this tmj or is it nerve/muscular? A year ago i was doing some stretches and i felt really odd after, all these symptoms suddenly came on. I get pins and needles on the right side of my head at times, my neck has a click in it sometimes, not a cracking feeling. My doc said one day i will wake up and be fine cause she don't know what it is.. I have had two cat scans and an xray, they are fine, and i saw a chiro. neurologist, physio etc. Neurologist said pinch nerves don't hurt. Any ideas/relief ideas?

OOOPSSSSS , sorry i meant neurologist said pinched nerves ONLY hurt but my doc said that isn't always true.. Sometimes the click i get in back right side of neck can ease the feeling, other times it wont. Any ideas how to get my doc to let me get an mri? She just wont do it, geesh!

Answers:

Pinched nerves do hurt! I can't believe a neurologist would say they don't! Have you had an MRI? It may show what is causing the problem. As a last resort, maybe you could try accupuncture. Good luck.
