Help me get some sleep! ¦(?

i can never sleep. i always get scared, dont no why. i read till midnight and then i get uncomfy, to hot or cold. i can lie in in the morning but with school im soooooo tired. and i did really bad in my test. oh AND i got such big bags under my eyes that conceler only just covers. HELP!

I used to have this problem all the time. I'm sorry you're going through this, I know it's hard!

First of all, think about why you can't sleep. To much coffee? Exercise right before bed? Too much light? Make sure these aren't adding to your problem. For you, it mostly sounds like your scared, which was my problem too.

If you're scared all the time, you might have some anxiety problem, like I have, which in that case you might want to get some sort of counseling or something. that goes too if you have a lot of scary stuff going on in your life, talking it out with somebody might help. Try writing your worries in a journal or something too. It won't get rid of them, but for me, I feel less stuffed up and stressed after I get them out on paper.

Are there things that you can change to not have so much scary stuff in you mind? If you're watching the news all the time, watching scary movies or shows, reading scary books, than stop and fill your mind with things that aren't constantly feeding your fear.

When you're scared at night and can't do anything about it, try humming a comforting song, or read a nice, comforting book. Psalms is great, or even a old children's book that you liked as a little kid. Or flip on some kids show or a cheesy romance hallmark movie and watch that. Soothing music might help too. For me it just keeps me awake, but it helps lots of people.
