Has any one ever torn there acl and about a month later was pain free and felt l!

Question:

Has any one ever torn there acl and about a month later was pain free and felt like your knee was normal?

I also would like to know what would be the best option a allograft or a hamstring graft?
Is it better to have desolving screws in your leg after surgery does normal screws limit you?

Answers:

The strongest graft you can have is a patella tendon autograft. Autografts are from your body, allografts are from a cadaver. Having a hamstring autograft is less painful than patella tendon autograft. Even if you feel like your knee is normal at 1 month IT IS NOT. The graft needs at least 2 months to take. If you do things you are not supposed to do you will stretch out the graft (or worse tear it again) and then you will be left with a useless ACL graft.
