Non-prescription sleeping pills?!

Question: Non-prescription sleeping pills?
Hey all. A lot of times I have difficulty sleeping so I've started taking melatonin tablets. However, there's some days where it's not strong enough to let me sleep properly. Is there anything stronger I can get that doesn't require a prescription?

Answers:

I personally use Sominex. The label tells you to only take one but I take two to three depending on how long I want/need to sleep. They're the best ones I've used so far, they'll knock you out in about 20 minutes or less.

I too have trouble sleeping and have combined 1 Benadryl pill (25 mg), 2 Valerian Root pills, and a cup of warm water. I call it the Benadryl Brew and it can work wonders.

P.S. You can find Valerian Root pills in the nutritional supplement section of WalMart or any other major store.

Common sleep aids include warm milk, Chamomile tea, 5-HTP, Melatonin and Valerian.

If you are having trouble switching off at bedtime some light exercise at bedtime often helps you to relax, unwind and switch off and that often improves your sleep. Strenuous exercise at bedtime is likely to ruin your sleep.
