Can you get used to sleeping less?

Yes you can. You can program your body to only sleep at certain times and for certain lengths of time. When I was in school I did this. I will promise you though, not much is more important than rest. Even if you get used to sleeping less, if you don't get enough, it will take its toll on you. I got used to sleeping about 4 hours per night. Its been 3 years and I'm still trying to get back to sleeping longer. I didn't have enough rest for so long that I started getting sick, and stressed out, and began gaining weight. You cut back on sleep to do other things, and eventually it'll come back to bite you in the butt. It's recommended that adults get 6-8 hours of sleep a day and anything less is puting you at risk of having health issues. Sleep is one of those things you need to make a priority, not something you can go without. Remember that for every hour of sleep you miss, it takes 3 hours of sleep to make it up.
