Back pain flowing down into my legs?!

Question:

Back pain flowing down into my legs?

i have been having back pain in my lower back and from there it has moved into my butt and down the back of my legs. in a previous post it commented about my hip feeling as if it drops and is numb for a moment, making me almost collapse. i dont know what this could be can anyone help?

Answers:

Pain radiating down the back of your leg is normally a lower back injury, such as a bulging or herniated disk. Your sciatic nerve can be very, very painful and needs to be looked at by a professional. Until you can get in lay flat on your back and elevate you legs on a chair for a short time. This will only be temporary relief.

If the pain radiates down the front of your leg (and is not ms) it would be an injury to your upper back.
