Remove plaster cast now?

I broke my wrist 5 weeks ago. Its driving me insane- Can anyone tell me how long it takes to heal. Its a clean break & the break is not at all sore. I have very sore pains like nerves/muscle I think because I cannot freely move my hand.Please !! someone confirm is 5 wks long enough for plaster

The xrays have been fine- doc said in general 6-8 wks. By the way this is my right hand and no Im not a moran!

5 weeks may be long enough if you have been flexing your muscles inside the cast regularly, here is the problem if you take the cast off too early and you bump it or fall you are at extreme risk of re- breaking it. so you only have one more week to go just deal with it. be tough
