Is my wrist fractured or sprained?!

Question:

Is my wrist fractured or sprained?

I collided with the shortstop in a softball game last night and when I first got up I just kind of brushed myself off and figured, no blood, no problem. So I kept playing, but as the game progressed, my wrist started to hurt a little more, and I've lost a lot of motion in it. I have fratured each of my arms once, and both times I was unable to clench my fist, but I can do that now, which leads me to believe this is only a sprain.

So basically, I have limited motion and local pain right in the center of my wrist, pressure worsens the pain slightly. I can make a fist and extend my fingers out fully, but I can't bend my hand forward or backwards.

I was going to wait a few days and see how things went, but my friends keep telling me that I should just go see a doctor, should I?

What's a TFCC?

Answers:

If the pain doesnt go down and you dont have near full motion in a few days then I would recommend you see an orthopedic doctor to assess your wrist. There could be a fracture, also you could have injured the TFCC in your wrist.
