DO styes usually cause your upper eyelid to get hugely swollen?
I woke up yesterday and my eye was half swollen and felt like someone had punched me in the eye. When I woke up today, it was worse> I saw the military doc and she said that it was PROBABLY a stye. So I'm not sure if that is actually what it is.

I get frequent styes and chalazions another form of stye and have had to have surgury on them twice. Get a REALLY hot wet rag, as hot as you can stand and put it on your eye four times a day or as often as you can it should start to feel better and get less swollen and eventually go away, I also wash my eyes in baby shampoo to clear away oils. a stye is a blocked oil gland and they can hurt a lot but eventually get better if you get heat on them . the ones i had surgury on i didn't do this and that was why.
