Nerve Root Blocks?
Hi all, just got back from my Dr.'s and he wants to do a Nerve Root Block in my cervical area. I have impingement of the spinal cord due to swelling from the herniation. Has anyone gone through this and how does it feel after? Thanks for your help......

Actually, you'll feel 100 percent better after that nerve root block because the herniation is causing pain and block - well, blocks the pain. I had the same thing done before I had surgery for the herniated disk, even though the block took the pain away - i still had a messed up disk and the dr needed to fix it to make me better. I highly recommend this procedure. It hurts being done but is well worth the short-term pain for the long-term benefit.
