i was workin at a hotel the other day and went to open the door. and the heavy door handle fell on my foot! (the screw in the handle was missin) my foot is not brooken (though i havnt had it x rayed) but is bruised lumpy nd slightly swollen.. am i legiable for comppensation?.. or is it not worth it.. if it is what am i looking at

If you dont have x rays and medical professionals provide records detailing the injury there is no possible way to win a case.
With that said the cost of the x rays and doctor visits will plus the time you spend doing all of this will superceede any settlement you win. If you go to court for a larger sum your lawyer fees will take away from your money.
Its not worth it. Plus it is just another frivolus lawsuit. Go get a bottle of ibuprofen and tough it out for 3 days and it will be fine.
