Infection Or Irritation?!
Question:
Infection Or Irritation?
I recently had a yeast infection and in the middle of treatment had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I have read that treatments for women should NEVER be used on men. The night that we did it, we fell asleep right after and he didnt get a chance to clean up until the following evening. After which he told me he had been itchy and has a red patch on his sack where his penis hags over it. This morning he said it was a little better, but he was still itchy and he was still red. Yeast infection... or irritation for the treatment? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Everything I've read and have been told so far says that men only have symptoms of a yeast infection around the head of their penis.... thats why I'm asking
Answers:
Doesn't matter if you have a yeast or bacterial infection it can be spread to your partener if you are having unprotected sex. If it is not treated it can be given back to you the next time you have sex. The same medication that you use can also be used on him regardless of what is said. Yes the infection can spread. Regardless, he needs to be seen by a doctor and be treated. Most of the time a yeast infection does only affect the head of the penis, but I have seen cases where it has spread to the sack. Also, if he performed oral sex on you, he can get a yeast infection inside his mouth.
