What do you do when somone cries?!

What do you do when somone cries?

Haha...I dont know what to do. Like... if a freind vents about an ex or breakup, a death... and so on, and cries... I never know what to do. I comfort and such... but I feel like I should do more. Hm?

I just tell people "if I cry, please hand me a tissue."

I'm not a big on the cry thing.
My mom died, and my brother died, and so on..........
but what I needed most was "when I cry, please just hand me a tissue".

Just listen to the person, and if they become stuck, I would suggest a support group.
HONESTLY,
friends can only do so much.

Lend an ear, a shoulder to cry on.

YOU are perfectly normal.
Most of us are at a loss when people cry.
Hug them if they want to be hugged.
Do hand them a tissue.
Let them vent once or twice, but the 3rd time,
WE are not therapist, or sounding boards.
We have our lives and ups and downs too.

but..............when and if I cry.....
"please hand me a tissue".
A glass of water would be nice.
Ask me if I'm hungry, lonely, angry or bored?
and then if i'm hungry feed me, if i lonely keep me company,
if I'm angry.........take me out bowling or to a golf range to hit something or throw some darts, and if I'm bored, tell me to get a life, or a hobby!!!!
