Please help me, I'm in a serious amount of pain.?!

Question: Please help me, I'm in a serious amount of pain.?
I went to the doctors for some shots, and it turns out I haven't been given a lot of shots. 4 to be exact.

Anyways, the doctor proceeded to stab my right arm with 4 needles, and now I'm in serious pain (Getting that many needles into one muscle hurts for even a muscle man, but I'm practically stick and bones). The doctor told me to massage the muscle to keep the fluids going but whenever I do that it feels like my arm is being turned to mush. I'm typing this with one hand because my arm hurts so goddamn much, and to make it even worse I accidentally fell asleep (I meant to fall asleep on my back, but I'm a side sleeper).

I've taken pain killers (the extra strength Aspirin) but nothing seems to work. I was wondering about using ice to stiffen the muscle but the doctor said I needed to massage it to make the fluids going so I'm not sure what to do. Anybody think they can help?

Answers:

Yes, yes, yes! You must massage the area no matter how painful it might be in order for the injection (medication sitting inside your muscle tissue) can distribute throughout the area and into your bloodstream. This is true with any deep muscle injection. If you don't massage the area after receiving the injections (medication), it will typically just sit in your muscle tissue and take a very long time to distribute throughout your arm / body. My wife had to give me (deep muscle) testosterone injections into my butt muscles and my specific instructions (from the doctor) was to massage the muscle until you feel heat. The heat during massage will let you know that the medicine is circulating around, just like the doctor ordered.
I hope this helps.

I just referenced my personal experience under similar circumstances with injections into muscle tissue.

Try taking 800mg of ibeuoprofen (sp?) every 6hrs. It helps alot with inflammation.
