your best bet is to put some heat on for 20min then ice pack on for 20min., take some advil or tylonol for the pain...
if you can hardly move your neck , would be wise to get it seen to for an xray to make sure nothing more was done other than a strain. it's quite painful, they would probably give you something more stronger for the pain if you saw your doctor or went to emerg...and something like a muscle relaxer for you to just lay your head down and rest the muscles*
