I had an operation on my knee a month ago?!

I had an operation on my knee a month ago?

And I'm sure there is something not right with it. My appointment to see the consultant has now been pushed back three times and I'm not going to be seeing him for another month. I tried to explain that I thought there was a problem but they said to go to my GP if I was worried. My GP is not a knee specialist, he doesn't know the ins and outs of the specific procedure I have had and has told me this, what should I do now?

The appoitment is a month from now, which will be two months following the Op, when I had it done I was told that the consultant would want to see me within the first month following the operation.
It was a lateral release if that means anything to anyone, and this is my fourth operation on my knee so do realise how long they can take to heal.

that does not sound right. I had knee surgery 3 weeks ago and i had a f/u appt. in 10 days and i go to physical therapy 3 times a week. i have another dr appt already scheduled for next week and also wear a brace whenever i am up. my knee doesn't feel like it did before the injury but we ( you and i) and definitely still in the healing stages of the surgery.
