What do you do during a group interview?!
Question:
What do you do during a group interview?
Answers:
It is called a panel interview. It usually consist of a minimum of three persons. Usually diverse (at least one male/female, at least one minority race). Usually there is a chairperson which usually is the department head of the department you are interviewing for.
You walk in and you are introduced to each person. You are invited to set in a specific seat. The chairperson explains the position, how/when they will make their hiring decision, etc. Then, each person will ask questions either alternating after each question or each asking 3-5 questions each. At this time you are invited to ask any questions you may have.
I have had dozens of panel interviews. Personally I would prefer a panel interview than a one person interview. I look at it this way, if you make a comment that offends the one interviewer you lost the job but in a panel interview you have to offend 2 out of three.
GOOD LUCK!
