Pain in right rib cage after sinus infection?!
Question: Pain in right rib cage after sinus infection?
Even though I don't cough that much anymore is it still possible that this is why my rib cage hurts?
It hurts to breath in, cough, stretch, lay on my stomach/side. It almost feels like a bad bruise.
Answers:
Anytime you have an Upper Respiratory Infection/sinus Infection in which you are coughing. It takes all the muscle in your upper body to produce a cough. Your rib cage is going to be sore for another week or two. Once you get over the sinus infection your entire body will start to feel better. You can use a heating pad on that side. Wet a wash clothe and put it between you and the heating pad. Don't fall asleep. I would only use it on low.

I also have a lot of sinus problems. I have found using a simple nasal wash about once a week keeps most of it at bay.
Just run a little warm water into your palm with a little salt and inhale it into your sinuses. It is like getting pool water in your nose. You need a box of tissues by you. I do it a couple of times and the sinus junk loosens up and you blow like crazy. But they are so much better.
Good Luck.
