Plaster Cast Care?
My son has broken his arm, tomorow it will be set in plaster, he is flying out to see me in a few days for 6 weeks.
Does anybody know the usual procedure and can it just be left for 6 weeks in the plaster or will it need other treatment during the 6 weeks.

Ask his doctor. She/he should tell you all you need to know on how the care for the arm and danger signs to watch out for.
When I had my leg in a cast, the worse problem I had was the heat. My leg sweated and ITCHED inside the cast. A fan or a blow dryer set on cool can help, but DO NOT insert anything down into the cast (between cast and arm) to itch. You can scratch the skin and cause an infection.
