Why is my fore-arm swollen?!

Why is my fore-arm swollen?
i was hacking off plaster when the fore-arm i was hammering with began to swell quite alot, it was restricting the movement of my hand, felt abit like when you have your blood pressure checked. i stopped and it went down abit but not completely. six hours later the swelling is still noticable, there is no bruising and it doesnt hurt. any ideas?

perhaps a doctor website or a real doctor is even better, especially if it's medically related and is causing you discomfort.
