Question:
I sprained both on my ankles on Saturday.I went to the doctor and he gave me ibuprofen 400 but its not helping
with the pain...what do I do...what do you suggest I do

Ibuprofen 400 is like taking a regular dose (2 pills of say Advil or Motrin)...So basically,you're doctor did nothing.Take 2 at a time (but space it out 8 hours),and if you're still in a lot of pain,you can take Tylenol along with it.The normal dosage for ibuprofen is 2 every 4 hours,3 every 6,and 4 every 8.Also,you should be following RICE:
Rest (don't walk more than you have to,get a wheelchair if walking is difficult)
Ice (you should be icing for 20 minutes at least 3 times a day)
Compression (wear an ACE wrap,or better yet an ankle brace)
Elevation (sit with your feet up,at least at hip level,above the heart is better)
