I suffered from whiplash and have been off for four weeks only to go back Friday (could not afford any more time off work only to be told no longer required on Monday. Reason very quiet and no work. (Yeah right!)

If not, try Citizens Advice Bureau to ask about your rights of dismissal, etc.
