My 4 month old gets alot of built up dried skin/wax in his ears. What is the best way to get this out?

They have candle type things at pharmacies I believe they're called earwix. You put one end in you're ear and light the other end. I know it sounds crazy but it works I've saw it done before because my mom shoved ear wax down further into her ear with a q-tip and couldn't hear. After using the candle she could hear. Also we looked at the inside b4 we used it and it was clear after we cut it open and saw all the ear wax that came out.
