Do you know what this might be or could someone at least point me in the right direction?
I just found out yesterday that my Father is dying. He has been tested at the VA hospital for numerous STD's and the tests all came back negative. They don't know what it is but they think it is some sort of a virus. He can't afford a trip to the doctor which is why Im hoping someone might have an idea or be able to point us in a possible direction. Here are the symptoms he gave me:
lesions on the legs
itchy, flaking skin that comes off like powder
blood pimples on the legs
feeling hot and sweaty all the time
spitting up of a light brown mucous
constant stuffy nose
Any help will be appreciated, Ive tried WebMD, but it wasnt much help. Thank You.

I'm confused. You said you just found out that your father is dying, but you are asking for help to find out what he has. So, tell us ---what actual diagnosis were you given that makes you "think" he is dying? He may just have a virus or other treatable illness that just hasn't been confirmed by testing yet. Or, you may not agree with the diagnosis (denial?) and therefore are seeking a more suitable one....
the flakey itchy skin could be dehydrated skin, psoriasis, or side effects if medication he takes.
lesions on his legs could be from scratching or picking the dried skin or maybe it could be diabetes.
"blood pimples" as you referred to could be another sign of diabetes or poor circulation in the lower extremeties.
feeling hot & sweaty all the time could be due to the weather, side effects of meds, hormonal changes, fever, infection, etc.
light brown mucous could indicate an infection. Usually a brown, rust, red, or pink color indicates the posibility the presence of blood--either due to the irritated lungs/throat/nose or a "bleed" somewhere in the nasal/pharangeal area lungs, pr possibly stomach/GI tract.
constant stuffy nose could be allergies.
