Problem with hand.?
I hurt my hand nearly ten days ago now,its not broken,but very badly bruised,on the fifth metacarpal,it looks out of shape and still swollen,what could the problem be.

Well it's tricky to answer because you seem to have diagnosed yourself in your question. The most important thing to ask is how do you know it's not broken. If you have seen a doctor, and your hand is bruised following some form of trauma, then I would be surprised that they never requested an x-ray. Prolonged bruising after ten days suggests to me that you must rule out a break. Although the majority of GP's have a vast amount of experience, only an x-ray can fully answer the question. My professional advice is to suggest that you go back to your GP as soon as possible as leaving fractures can throw up a number of complications.
