Infection or am i safe? Just dug out splinter.?
Ok, so i just had a splinter in my skin. I took nail clippers to it and slowly cut away layers of my skin until I was there at my splinter and took it out with my fingers. Nothing was sterile when I used it. Although I did try peroxide on my skin before this. I don't have any bad-aids at the time and I'm using light bandagin over the finger. What are the odds of gettin an infection? Thank you to all who answer or try to help! :)

Infection is pretty unlikely. It is upper layers of skin. If you didn't end up cutting away enough skin that there was significant bleeding, you will be fine. If it is infected, it will turn red around the wound and become more painful. If this happens, see a doctor.
