What are the health risks of smoking 1 cigarette a day?!

Question: What are the health risks of smoking 1 cigarette a day?
I'm a small time social smoker and I wondered what health risks I'm facing by smoking?
PS. I don't smoke one a day every day, I just smoke 1 every so often when I'm with friends :P And I'm not addicted

Answers:

When you start inhaling that smoke instead of just making rings and blowing it out your nose, you'll become addicted.

My suggestion is that you switch from tobacco cigarettes to herbal smokes. They're half the price, look & taste pretty much the same and you can quit whenever you like.

As for health, once you become a regular smoker, God forbid, the probabilities are almost the same for the light smoker and the chain smoker to suffer and die from a variety of heath problems. As a former chain smoker, I can tell you that if herbal smokes were available when I was 16, I would have smoked those instead.

I get you. All around you on a daily basis you’re going to find people that don’t smoke. Do these people seem like they’re enjoying life more than you are? Do they seem to be enjoying themselves less because they aren’t smoking? Do they seem more stressed out? What you ought to notice is that all those people around you who don’t smoke are exactly like you are – and they go through the exact same things that you do, with the only difference being that they don’t immerse themselves in clouds and clouds of smoke!
But many smokers continue to do so simply because they feel that they need to. The general feeling is that if they were to quit they’d end up feeling more down, less happy, more stressed out, and so on. While it is true that smoking releases dopamine that causes a slight euphoria and helps you to relax – the question that you should really be asking yourself is whether or not you need smoking in order to be able to feel happy and relaxed!
From the start of your life, right up to the point where you started smoking, you managed to cope well without cigarettes. What makes you think that you need to smoke or you wouldn’t be able to cope from this point on? When exactly did you start feeling that way? Chances are, you probably don’t even remember the exact point when you became dependent on cigarettes – but that really doesn’t matter.
All things said and done, smoking is a habit that is dangerous – and it will probably end up killing you if you don’t quit at some point or other. Now that you know that there’s really no justification for thinking that you ‘need’ cigarettes, it is up to you to take the next step, and firmly make the decision to kick your unwanted habit!
God bless!

A recent study came out that proves, all it takes is one cigarette to cause permanent damage to your body and it's organs.
So since you claim to not be addicted, should be easy for you to simply stop something that will more than likely cause a serious health problem years from now.

its good mate your not smoking much and its good your not addicted. but every smoke you have gets you closer and closer to addiction and to cancer if your not addicted just stop smoking mate. :P
