Heel pain please help?

i need serious help i got a heel pain for the past few weeks n i work standing for 8 hr a day n i get worse pain during the night or early morning i have changed my shoes n tried heel pads as well but still i feel the pain. please give me some good advice thank you

There are a variety of causes of heel pain including plantar fasciitis, bursitis and Achilles tendinitis. Plantar fasciitis hurts worse in the mornings so matches your complaint. This can be caused by shoes with poor arch support or stiff soles, tight calf muscles, long distance running, and pronation (to check for this see if the outside of your shoes are more worn than the inside).

The best home remedies for these problems include:
* Rest as much as you can for a week, but if the pain continues longer than a week or gets really bad you should see a doctor.. As you've had this complaint for a while you might consider this...
* Apply ice to the painful area at least twice a day for 10 to 15 minutes
* Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain and to reduce inflammation.
* Wear proper-fitting shoes with an orthotic if needed. Some shoe stores have people who can evaluate whether you need an orthotic or not. You can purchase individually made orthotics from a foot doctor (for lots of money) or for a bit less money you can buy them off the internet..
* Exercises to stretch and strengthen your foot will probably help if you have plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinitis.
