I have degenerating arthritis in my hip, cna it be treated by meds or is surgury!
Question:
I have degenerating arthritis in my hip, cna it be treated by meds or is surgury always necessary?
Answers:
Hi. My father had degeneratting arthritis in his shoulder. 2 doctors insisted on an operation right away. He went to a 3rd doctor who gave him stretching exercises and told him to immediately stop eating nightshade vegetables (eggplant, tomatoes...). He started feeling relief after following the last doctor's suggestions in about 2 weeks. I strongly suggest you try those alternatives (find a good stretch for your hip-perhaps a chiropractor would be able to help) before you opt for surgery. Also, eat a lot of turmeric because that is an anti-inflammatory. You can buy turmeric in pill form at a health food store or try here:

(I like that Solgar brand because it has a lot of curcumin-the anti-inflammatory-and you can always tell that a vitamin is going to be good when it comes in a glass bottle that is amber colored, you can tell the company cares about that product)
You should find good results if you adhere to the plan and are patient for 2-4 weeks. Any way out of surgery is one that should be tried.
Can you watch video on your computer? If so, watch this for some good stretches:

Otherwise, you may want to see a yoga practicioner as well. There are some very good hip-opening stretches that you can use. Tell the teacher that you are attending a class for therapeutic purposes and he/she will be able to help you. Certain yoga poses can be very therapeutic.
Hope you find some relief!
