Why do I sleep more than 16 hours and be tired for the rest of the day?!

Question: Why do I sleep more than 16 hours and be tired for the rest of the day?
I'm 14 (15 on April 29th) I eat healthy, with no eating disorders I'm 5''1'' and 110lbs. I'm healthy too. The only thing wrong with me would be I have a personality disorder im Dependant and Avoidant but medication is too expensive but i dont think that would cause me too always be tired, i think. Im also im female if that has anything to do with it.

I'm like you (but a guy). Do you wear yourself out during the week and make up for it on the weekends? I certainly do as an engineering student! Also, you need lots of sleep as a teenager so if you deprive yourself during the week, you will sleep crazy amounts during the weekends. I get 8 hours of sleep on weekdays (usually) and am far from satisfied. (I get more on the weekends). When you over sleep your body makes "sleep hormones". You might notice that lacking sleep makes you feel like a zombie whereas oversleeping makes you feel good but very lazy. I personally encourage you to over sleep but you need to exercise to counter the sleepiness that you will get from doing so so that you're not lazy for the remainder of the day. Nothing major is required but it has to be a "real exercise" in my opinion. By the way, as a health benefit you need to exercise as well since you burn less calories when asleep and you are asleep for a longer period of time.

My own heavy sleep requirements.
