Question:
What to do to avoid canker sore? And If I get one, what do I need to do in order for it to heal fast?
Answers:
I have suffered with these for years, and done alot of research regarding canker sores, and spoken with numerous doctors about it. As far as I have found, there is nothing you can really do to avoid them. Stress can aggrivate an outbreak, biting the side of your mouth can transform a wound into a canker sore. The best thing I have found for making sure that it heals quickly is this product made by ORAL-B. It is called Amosan, it comes in little white packets. They are in a white box with blue writing. You can find them sometimes at pharmacys/drug stores. You will probably have to do some searching for it. Once you get it, you take a packet disolve it in a tbsp or two of warm water, then swish it around in your mouth. It stings and burns like heck, but it helps them to heal fast. Hydrogren peroxide works almost the same, but tastes nasty, and isn't as effective. Also avoid acidic foods and juices like anything citrus, pastas with tomato sauce, and that kind of stuff. I hope this helps. Sorry you have a canker sore, I know they suck.
