Question:
Sacroiliac joints, sacroikitis and desmophytes?
these words wereused by my doctor in a recent letter & i am under medication for fibromyalgia and ankylosing spondylitis.
Answers:
Dysfunction in the sacroiliac joint is thought to cause low back and/or leg pain. The pain can be similar to pain caused by a lumbar disc herniation. This condition is generally more common in young and middle age women.
Sacroiliitis is an inflammation of the sacroiliac joint. Desmophytes is a More serious condition than ankylosing spondylitis.
Ask your doctor about doing water exercises. This might help with the flexation and help reduce the pain.
