do i have gastritis syndrom :( ?!

Question: Do i have gastritis syndrom :( ?
ok ever since october last year i have been getting some major pains in my stomach and they have not went away, it always happens at night and seems to vary when they come (sometimes it could be once a month, or it could be every day) and on some occasions its made me vomit but everytime ive had these pains i would have diarrhea
please keep in mind that i have NEVER drunk alcohol and have NEVER smoked in my life, however i do eat quite a lot of junk food and since i started my 1st job while being at uni i have been under quite a bit of stress
Also once my vomit was black but that was back in November and i do drink alot of coke and it has never been that colour ever since

Answers:

ok, vomit, diarrhea, major stomach pains, always at night (when you're lying down) occurrences are random.
you want to watch the times that you're getting them alot vs: getting them infrequently bcz that's stress related . good thing the black vomit hasnt come back...must've scared you.
could have just been alot of coke, too. coke can be good for you, but, it has to be flat.

These are ulcer symptoms. or at least they are " in the making"
bottom line, as you stated already, You're under alot of stress...that's it. And you need to find a release from the stress. ie: exercise, meditation, reading. anything that will relax you and make sure you get a good nights' sleep. the sleep is important to relieving the stress.

try keeping unsalted crackers/saltines on hand. gatorade or something like it . My husband (who has ulcers) also has mashed potato since it's easy to digest and coats the stomach...but, in small amounts.

If you get an upset stomach, try pepto tablets (not the generic ones) My husband's gastro dr told us that regular pepto has different properties than generic versions and to stay away from the generics.

one thing my husband is trying right now is a heating pad when lying down (it shuts off automatically after about 10-15 minutes) . It seems to help out, somewhat.

If the symptoms get worse , get to a gastroenterologist (stomach dr) so the dr can have tests done.

hope this helps you out.

It could be the increase in fat and sugar that's causing upset. Stress can do it too. Lay off the coke.

Hang on....your vomit should NOT be black. You need to go to the ER immediately.

The internet isn't the place to get a medical diagnosis. We can't examine you, run tests, or see medical records...and we aren't trained to.
