Alright now i'm SICK of fleas?!

Question: Alright now i'm SICK of fleas?
Alright so I moved in an apartment and it's full of fleas. I know this for a couple reasons. My dog never had fleas than he came up here and he instantly had them. Plus I got like 50 bites all over my legs, stomach, and arms. I've set a crap load of bug bombs off. We have had a exterminator come. He comes every 2 weeks. I mean come on! What am I supposed to do to get rid of these? I'm sick of these. I don't even want to be in here anymore. I find stuff to go do so I don't have to be in here.

Do any of you know how to get rid of these?

Well, have you spoke with your landlord about this? I happen to live in NYC,and we were infested with bed bugs at 1 time...was freaking awful!!!! Couldn't get rid of those things!!
First you must get a hold of your landlord and explain the situation...even try to catch a couple of dead fleas if you can to show him/her! This helps believe it or not..kinda shows the reality of the situation, and the crap you have to deal with on a daily basis. You've already tried bombing the place, and didn't work. So,it's quite possible your neighbors also have fleas, and are going from 1 apartment to the other....which makes ridding of these 'things' almost IMPOSSIBLE!
Also...take pictures of your flea bites...and if possible..try to take pictures of live fleas(I know kinda hard, but helps),and show all this to the landlord.
You must be vigilant when it comes to your landlord(if he/she is an a$$ or cheap) in getting rid of these pesty things.
Well, that's about the best advice I have for you.....and,1 more thing....IF you happen to still have those receipts from buying all those bombs? Also, take those to your landlord for reimbursement/refund.I'm only telling you the laws as I know them to be where I live, and am only offering you as much help and advice as I possibly can! You've done everything you can do,and nothing else can be done other then allowing the landlord to do his/her job by contacting the right people to get the job done right!!! By more advanced pesticides/stronger pesticides.
Hope everything works out for you.Take care.

Keep in mind...these fleas are also in the walls, under the floors, ceilings, etc.Bombs aren't near enough. That's where the landlord comes in to contact professionals.I really hope this helped.Did for us/me.

Have you spoken to your manager. One flea can produce a thousand fleas. Have you treated your animal with something like advantage? You have to vacuum every single day. If your vacuum use a bag then it needs to be changed every time you vacuum. Buy a box of Borax powder and sprinkle on your rugs before you vacuum. It works for me . I don't like to use those Insect Bombs.

Oh no! This happened to me a couple of years ago, it was terrible! I would sit down and within a minute i would see one jump on my leg, they were even in my bed! Yuck!

After trying everything.. We phoned an exterminator and he gassed the whole house out.

Ya after having the pros in every 2 weeks and you are still dealing with the fleas, I would leave or withhold rent until the issues is resolved.

try getting a different apartment?

Bug control is actually the job of your landlord, especially if it was there when you moved in and can be a health issue. I am not sure that exterminators take care of fleas. Bug bombs need to be done many times maybe over a couple of months until you are successful and be sure to be treating your dog with a good flea medicine like frontline or advantage. You can sue for rent reduction, so be sure to let your landlord know you have been putting money into this situation and ask for his advice about what you can do, or he can do. One natural remedy I have used is actually vinegar. There are carpet powders you can vacuum out, and sprays for furniture. The sad thing is all of this is toxic and can be toxic for your pet. The vinegar I have sprayed on carpets, but in the end, the bug bombs worked when they were used successively until the fleas were gone.

Your not the first to complain about trouble getting rid of fleas. Wish I could help you more.
