If you sleep too late in the day, should you skip sleep that night?!

Question: If you sleep too late in the day, should you skip sleep that night?
I slept from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. this evening. My sleep schedule is totally out of wack, and I'm hoping to get it back into a pattern. Tomorrow's Sunday, and I work at 10:30. Would it be bad if I skipped sleep, and then started going back at a set time Sunday night? I don't think I can fall asleep after only being up 8 hours, and I'll have to get up for work so I don't know if it'd be counter productive to force myself to bed for 4 hours of sleep, at the wrong time.

How should I approach this? I have no routine because I work random mornings at 8:00 during the week and sleep till 10:00 on the days when I don't (my classes are all at 11:00). Any tips?

When this happens to me I do just that, stay up. It really really sucks though. By the time 10pm rolls around you are pretty much at the mercy of God to not do something to get yourself killed like falling down the stairs or getting hit by a bus. I hate it when this happens to me :(
Sorry man. Hopefully you can find a better cure

One thing I have never tried is to just lay down until it's time to wake up. Maybe this will conserve your energy for the LONG day? Might be worth a try?
