Sinus infection?!

Question:

Sinus infection?

For about atleast a month now I have had a lot of pressure in my forhead. It hurts to touch my forehead now and my brow bone. I am also very congested, however I do have allergies (that i am taking nasonex for). I am also frequently dizzy. I know most of these signs point to a sinus infection but the discharge from my nose is still clear. Could it still be a sinus infection or is it something else?

Answers:

You also could be developing more severe allergies, and the nasonex just isn't cutting it anymore. I didn't have allergies growing up, and it was only recently (mid-20's) that I developed them. They began as mild, but have gotten worse and worse as the years progress. You might be developing stronger allergies. I would go to an allergist and get tested, you may find you are more allergic than you think. Prescription pills (such as singulair, which works like MAGIC) and even shots can help you get over this daily annoyance.

I also used to get a lot of sinus infections, and when my symptoms got worse I would think they were infections, but it turned out to be severe allergies. Now that I've been treated with immunotherapy (allergy shots) I don't get sinus infections at ALL anymore. I also got my tonsils out because I was sick a lot, but I do NOT reccommend it.
