Large indent gash in knee cap from a fall, is this serious?
A few days ago i tripped on the stairs and landed on one knee, since then i have a huge indent in my knee cap. Though it hurt really bad for a couple days now i barely feel it unless going up or down stairs. But the indent or gash in quite noticeable in comparison to the other knee. I'm wondering is it just tissue damage or something more serious. Does anyone know more about this? It would be much appreciated as its quite annoying and i hate going to the drs unless it is absolutely necessary to do so.

no doctor needed. it's healing on it's own and doesn't sound like there was any major damage done. take it easy and watch those steps.
