How does food "pass" through the intestines?!

Question:

How does food "pass" through the intestines?

From what I understand, muscles "pulse" the mass through? Does it ever get "clogged"? How does one "unclog"?

Answers:

Muscles do pulse the food through. While it is moving through. parts of it are absorbed, and some of it just goes out the other end.
If you're clogged, there are lots of cleanses you can get at drug stores or health food stores. Eat lots of fibre-rich foods.
