Just had third toenail surgically removed. How long until I can competitively play basketball again?
I was being a complete idiot, playing basketball barefoot in my drive-way. Somehow, I landed on my foot awkwardly, and cracked the toenail at least 80% of the way off. Just had podiatrist numb my toe and surgically remove it. How long until I can compete again in basketball at a high level?

Usual healing is a couple of weeks, depending on the type of procedure your podiatrist performed. Basically, what we tell our patients is to be smart - if it feels good, try it. You'll know if you've overdone it. Just remember to keep the area clean.
