Nose bleed?!

Nose bleed?
my friend has only had one nose bleed in her life, and it was just because of winter. but this morning she started to bleed and she filled up a whole towel like the size of one youd use after a shower. the bleeding stopped, but her head hurts now. she says its towards the back that hurts. anybody have any cue whats wrong? should she get it checked out?
Answers:
has it stopped completely? are there any other symptoms? (ie- dizzyness, loss of motor skills, slurred speech etc).
if it's stopped and there isn't any other odd things going on she should be fine. get her something to drink and relax. above all, do not give her aspirin for that headache.
