Please help!?!

Question:

Please help!?

My fiance and I had one missunderstanding...and in his paranoia he thought that I would leave him (wasn't true of course!!!)....but that night we spoke, we didn't spent together....and till the morning he was feeling very bad....he said he shook all night, and had rapid heart rate....he was shivering every 5 to 5 min while he was in a bed. What could this be? Why he was shaking for so long?

Answers:

Sounds to me like a simple adrenaline rush. You can get these when you're really, really angry (especially if you're unable to do anything about whatever's got you mad), or emotionally hurt, or scared, or physically injured. (I dimly recall James Spader portraying this in some movie in which he'd been beaten up and thought he had it down perfectly.)

Essentially, it's your body's response to what it perceives as danger, the "fight or flight" response that provides the energy you'd need if you physically fought or ran away. However, since your boyfriend didn't do either, the adrenaline just gave him recurring shakes until it worked it way out of his system.

If it continues, he should see a doctor, but if you're patching things up and it stops, I wouldn't worry about it.
