Question: Two stitches in bottom lip care?
I got two dissolvable stitches in my lip tonight after my puppy head-butted me by accident and busted it open.
The doctor told me they'd dissolve in 7 days, and that I needed to take antibiotics 3 times a day for a week, but he didn't tell me if there was anything I should or shouldn't do, or foods I should avoid, if ice would help - that kind of thing - does anyone have any suggestions of things I might need to do that might help?

Don't worry about foods, eat whatever.
Ice is unnecessary
but it would be good to clean the stitches everyday just to make sure nothing gets in the cut so just gently dabbing the stitches with cool water should keep it clean. Also watch the area and make sure there is no puss, swelling, bleeding, ripping of the stitches or any signs of infection.
