I hurt my foot and not sure what is wrong???? Please help!?

Thursday the 14th of this month, a 10lb board fell onto my foot. The corner/edge of the board (it’s a shelf from a cd/dvd stand) well it fell on the top edge of my right foot. It hit like 1 ½ below my pinky toe. Well it hurt bad when I did it, but didn’t think much of it. Later that night it hurt a little and there was a bruise on it, and I am not the kind of person to get a bruise. Yesterday it hurt and I couldn’t touch it without it hurting, then today it has started to ‘throb’ I guess you could call it and it sorta hurts to walk on it. Yeah I know, go to the doctor or ER, but I am soooo not the doctor/hospital type. Is it possible that I broke my foot or just bruised it badly? (Its not swollen or anything, but I have easily broken several bones before). I know you all aren’t doctors, but any advice would be helpful. Thanks!!

Foot injuries hurt like crazy because they have to withhold all our weight. You might very well have broken or cracked something. Go to the doctor. He's not going to amputate your foot so there is nothing scary about it. You will get an x-ray and from there they will either tell you that there is nothing to do other than wait for it go away or tie it up. No big deal. Leg injuries which do not seem like a big deal can lead to problems though if left unattended.
